The Kentucky Association of Resource Conservation and Development Councils is a nonprofit association of local citizens joining together for the common good to plan and implement projects that improve the quality of life for the people of the State of Kentucky.  Improving the quality of life for all Kentuckians is the key goal of Kentucky RC&Ds. Our projects,  developed at the local level,  create positive impact upon the communities we serve.  The association provides coordination of events and activities of interest to councils and provides a vehicle for technology transfer

THE PURPOSE OF OUR STATE ASSOCIATION

  • To develop rural areas using innovative strategies by creating a program that contributes to the maximization of available resources and enhancement of the local environment.
  • To assure an effective and active role for the Natural Resources Conservation Service as the lead agency for the program.
  • To involve other USDA agencies associated with rural development in implementing and supporting the program.
  • To develop strong working partnerships with NRCS, the RC&D councils, the National Association of RC&D Councils, and other USDA agencies.
