Examples of Recent Projects:

Health Care Facility Gardens - Constructing elevated handicap accessible gardens at nursing homes for mentally and physical impairment.
Outdoor Labs for Schools - developing school communities to design and construct outdoor teaching facilities. 
Dry Hydrants - installing non-pressurized fire hydrants to draft water from a pond or other water source in rural areas that do not have rural water lines for fire protection. 
Recreational Park Developments - assisting with drainage, critical areas seeding, tree planting, green belt development walkways, wildlife plantings, etc. at city and county parks. 
Historic Site Development - assisting with grants and other organizing volunteers to restore railway stations, old school buildings, or other historic sites. 
Teacher Training - providing training sessions for teachers to keep then up to date on issues the RC&D Council considers needed to provide the best information to students. 
Discovery Camp - providing a three day camp for 5th grade students on job opportunities available in agriculture. 
Flood Prevention - working with local, state and federal government in opening the channel ar4eas of streams to provide full flow capacity. 
Riverbank Stabilization - planting materials to stabilize streambanks to reduce bank erosion. 
Mobile Fire Safety Units - develop mobile trailer to teach fire safety at schools, fairs etc. 
Waste Disposal - conduct tire shredder demonstrations, landfill tours and recycling demonstrations to promote waste reduction and recycling.
Small Dam Flood Prevention - construction of lakes that are 5-10 acres in size with large stage areas to store water for flood reduction.
