My carb needs a rebuild but I think i'll wait on it. I took the carb off and the spacer was a good chunk of charcoal lol It kinda crubled on me so could I just put a good ring of seal maker if thats what the spacer is for?
The plate is for the EGR Valve. & yes it needs to be there. The problem with the engine stalling maybe the plate is pitted on the underside from the exhaust gasses & causing a vacuum leak. The idle being high may be due to the choke cam.

Why not telephone your local nissan garage and ask them about the heavy duty spring if the cable looks new then it could be the spring sounds likely.
2.0 throttle body spring part number? - 914club.com
PET diagram 117-10 shows part #2 022.129.881 F as a return spring so it sounds and looks like that is the one you say you DON'T want. For that matter, 039.129.881 A is also a return spring (that you say you don't want.) I can't see in the PET diagram that the return spring on the shaft has a separate number. You might post a WTB for what you want. Jim, thanks for the reply. I had looked at PET 117-10 and intrepreted the info this way. It shows a (2) 039.129.881 A (not shown) for fitting a 2.0. It shows a #2 and another (2) both with part # 022.129.881 F for a 1.7, 1.8, 2.0. I was wondering the if 022 might be the long spring and the 039 would be the round spring that only fits a 2.0, but then why would it show a length of 102 mm. So I'm guessing neither one is the round spring which agrees with your thoughts. I would like a new shaft spring but perhaps used will have to be it. thanks. Jim, thanks for the reply....
