    I am no motor head, but this carb went in with no problems and worked like a charm. The installation DVD made it near idiot-proof. I had to adjust the idle a little, but that was more of a preference thing. Highly recommend this carb to anyone who needs a reliable user-friendly replacement.

Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Clip is missing. Can't find a replacement part.?

I just had my 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer V-6 4 liter in the shop. They replaced the Intake manifold gasket. They say that on the intake manifold tuning valve solenoid there is a clip that must secure the device in place that is missing.

NASCAR takes 'really big step' with fuel injection

"The technology's moved on. It's time to move on," said Howard Comstock of Dodge Motorsports engineering. "But NASCAR understood this is a big step. It's a really big step for racing, it's a big step for these teams.

"We've basically used the same carburetor for 40 years, and there's a lot of people who have made a life's work out of learning carburetors and making them work as efficiently as they are today. It's unbelievable how efficient they are. But they're purpose-built for racing and every car on the road uses fuel injection. NASCAR felt like it was time to update our technology and here we are."

One of those people who has spent a lifetime in that occupation is Doug Yates, chief executive officer of Roush Yates Engines. He remembers getting the opportunity to play with carburetors in father Robert's engine shop.

"I followed my dad his entire career, building engines, growing up around him," Yates said. "He first let me sweep the floors and then he let me help build engines. It was probably in my early teens when I started tinkering with carburetors.

Exploded View – K20A3 Engine Removal – K20A3 Engine 1. Remove the intake manifold cover. 2. Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor connector (A), and remove the breather hose (B), then remove the air cleaner housing (C). 3. Remove the throttle cover (A). Fully open the throttle link and cruise control link by hand, then remove the throttle cable (B) and cruise control actuator cable (C) from the links. Loosen the locknuts (D), and remove the cables from the bracket. 4. Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister hose (A) and brake booster vacuum hose (B). 5. Remove the water bypass hoses, then plug the water bypass hoses. 6. Disconnect the intake manifold tuning (IMT) (intake manifold runner control (IMRC)) valve actuator control solenoid valve connector (A), then remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose (B) and IMT (IMRC) valve control solenoid valve mounting bolt (C).

7. Remove the front bumper. 8. Disconnect the hood switch connector (A), then remove the air conditioning (A/C) line bracket mounting bolt (B), intake air duct mounting bolt (C), and harness clamps (D). 9. Remove the upper bracket and cushion mounting bolts (A), then remove the bulkhead (B). 10. Remove the engine wire harness connectors and wire harness clamps from the intake manifold.  Idle air control (IAC) valve connector  Throttle position (TP) sensor connector  Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor connector  Evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve connector  Intake manifold tuning (IMT) (Intake manifold runner control (IMRC)) valve position sensor connector 11. Remove the intake manifold. Installation – K20A3 Engine 1. Install the intake manifold (A), and tighten the bolts/nuts in a crisscross pattern in two or three steps, beginning with the inner bolt. Use new O-rings (B).
