Lower intake.
It was suggested to do the lower intake at the same time as the plenum on my 2002 Lesabre. I'm glad I did. This kit came with some extra parts (different options). I didn't use the blue side pieces or the o-rings. Knowing that now, I would of bought the cheaper/smaller set.

I'm leaking oil pretty bad in my 99 Eclipse RS & I changed the intake gasket & its still leaking oil, its not the intake gasket. Its in between the firewall & my engine somewhere.
Some vehicles bypass crankcase fumes through a tube going from the valve cover to the intake tube, but it is not nearly enough oil to build up to a leak of any kind. Other than that, no oil travels in that area.

There's no 3.0L engine offered in the 2005 Chevy Venture. Only the 3.4L.
Look at your V.I.N. #. The 8th digit is gonna be "E".
If that gasket is for some sort of 3.0L, it's not gonna work.

I have a friend that has a 97 olds that was sucking up coolant as fast as you could pour it in. I was all going rign in to the oil pan. The problem is a corner intake gasket and the car is in my driveway and someone is repacing the gaskets right now... I will see if he know about your problem but the guy that doing the work right now always check compression before he does any work. My olds turns over but no sparks to the coil packs and he thinks it a crank or cam sensor. I guess my car gets worked on next.
