Customer Reviews:
  1. GREAT BUY FOR FORD/LINCOLN/MERCURY OWNERS
I bought this for my 96 Lincoln after I found out that my intake manifold cracked and it was past the deadline for the class action settlement from Ford. There are great instructions on the internet for the installation and it took about 7 hours from start to finish. The only problem was that one...
  2. it works..
After over 100K miles (and days after having replaced a coolant leaking intake manifold gasket) on the second plastic cross over manifold on my mustang I noticed a small crack near the passenger side temp sensor that was weeping coolant and upon disassembly a three inch crack in progress where...
96 Mustang GT cranking but wont start had other problems?

ok my mustang cranks but won't start. it usually was taking it about 7 seconds of cranking to start anyway. i replaced the intake

Easy to check if its a fuel problem. If its carb, dump a half cup of fuel down the intake. Then crank It. It should start. What I do with my Chevy truck is crank it no more than 2 or 3 turns, stop - wait 3 or so seconds, then crank again and she fires right up.

if there is coolant in your valley pan, then yes, you 99% likely have a blown intake manifold gasket. It's a very common problem, I think i did one a week when I worked at the Ford Dealership.
