    I recommend this product, but only experienced 1mpg improvement in city driving, not sure if it made any difference on highway driving. Fit was perfect and I like the idea that I can wash the filter and not worry about buying a new one. My car is a Subaru Impreza 2.5i 2008

Is a cold air intake worth it for saving MPG?

I have a 2003 F150 with a rated 14 MPG and i want to increase that number. Is it worth it to but a cold air intake and if so what do you recommend.


Boy that's a nice guy, Lol and the answer is no!, you are not going to see any increase in fuel efficiency by adding a cold air intake.

It is SEMA Show time and Chrysler will have a major presence at the 2011 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, Nov. 1st to 4th.

Depends on the style of intake you get. The problem with "cold air intakes" is that some of them just have a filter on the end of the intake tube and the filter sits in the engine bay. Therefore the only air that it gets is the hot air that is trapped under the hood. Now if you can get a cold air intake that actually has the hot engine air blocked off somehow and uses actual "cold air" from say the wheel well or the front of the radiator, then yes I would say that it would be worth it. Did that make any sense at all?
