Increased my MPG's by 2!
I installed the K&N 57-3050 on my 5.3 liter 2006 GMC Sierra 2WD Crew Cab. I do a lot of highway driving between GA, AL, and TN, and wanted to increase my MPG. Before I installed the K&N, I was getting around 20-20.5 MPG's highway driving at a constant speed of 70-75 MPH. Since installing the... -
My K&N air intake rocks!
This was too easy. I got a great price and the air intake kit works like a charm on my 06 Silverado. I have already hauled a bed and trailer full of almost 2 cord of wood 150 miles and still got 13 mpg. I definitely get 2-4 more mpg with the filter. No complaints, highly recommend this to anyone.

i have a 2005 jeep grand cherokee laredo v6. it gets roughly 16 to 19 mpg depending on how it is driven. how much will a cold air intake boost my mpg and horse power?
not enough for you to notice anything. Don't waste your money on these things.
1. Most of them aren't cold air intakes!! Unless it actually has a box around the air filter to prevent the hot air in the engine compartment to enter the air filter.

Firebird V6 3.8l with a cold air intake
Hi, I am thinking to install a K&N cold air intake in my 98 jeep wrangler to improve mpg. the air intake cost around $300. assume gas price is $3/g and my jeep average mpg is 15. if the air intake can improve 1 mpg, then the gas it save will...
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but:
To go from 15 mpg to 16 mpg, you'll need to put another 25,000 miles on the Jeep before your $300 investment pays for itself. -17 mpg = 12,500 miles ... -18mpg = 9,100 miles
So the math needed help, but as

2012 Volkswagen Jetta GLI Model Comparisons
There was more than a little consternation amongst the Volkswagen faithful when the latest version of the Jetta debuted last year. With a dramatically different demeanor meant to appeal to a broader, more mainstream, audience, the 2011 Jetta apparently showed that VW was abandoning its old customer base in search of a greater market share.
Not at all. While the Jetta continues as VW's top-selling model in the U.S., with sales up more than 74 percent in the first seven months of calendar year 2011, the performance-on-a-budget VW fan has not been forgotten. Welcome the 2012 Jetta GLI, with 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque from the lovely (and surprisingly economical) 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged and intercooled direct-injection four-cylinder engine matched to either a manual or twin-clutch automated-manual DSG transmission, both six-speeds. Front suspension is the same MacPherson strut design as in other Jettas, suitably re-tuned for sport handling. At the rear, say goodbye to the "decontented" torsion beam axle and drum brakes and hello to an independent multilink setup with discs, all the better to extract that final bit of cornering ability when the road isn't quite perfect.
!#7# This Cold Air Intake Increase MPG? | !8: Discounted Air ...
While the engine noise is reduced the benefit for most consumers inefficient warehouse factory installed air filter. I think that a truck has run in look, feel and sound like a truck. This performance begins with aftermarket truck called cold air intakes. Bearing air tube and filter boxes, drop in the volume of air supplied into the combustion chamber. And because the stock intake system completely limits the air box in engine compartment, the air is usually made hota. This combination of warmer air and limited causes of fuel-rich combustion mixture (fuel too), which do not burn with maximum efficiency and power thus does not have a negative effect on your truck fuel economy.
The best cold air intakes and performance air intake kits solve some of these problems in one impressive unit. First, a performance air intake replaces the stock pipe with a larger pipe that has less curves. The result is a greater volume of air that flows more freely. Theconsequent effect fills the combustion chamber with oxygen molecules to turn in more fuel-balanced, efficient merges the power and increased fuel consumption to maximize....
Chevrolet Trucks: Factors can affect the increase of MPG - blog*spot
Lots of factors could affect the increase of MPG on your Chevrolet Truck is how the driver drives his car then the next one is installing the best cold air intake systems available on the market. Most of the claims are true on this CAI. You can tell if it is the best if it has employ specially-shaped intake tubes designed to straighten airflow as much as possible, which is especially designed for Trucks like Chevrolet Silverado. This pipes sucks more air because of it's mandrel bent and custom molded because our engine relies on mixtures of fuel so our vehicle draws air to the intake tube and air box. The stock cars design is quiet as possible but it is not really efficient and productive. CAI kits relocates the air box outside of your cars engine compartment. The relocation spot for cold air intake's air box is in the upper wheel well above the tire. Not all performance intakes are cold air intakes. Also not all CAI are the best some...

Giving the new engine even more power, a Bully Dog cold-air intake system and Corsa high-flow exhaust were installed. Amsoil synthetic fluids keep the engine protected at a modest 13 psi of boost, while SPAL electric fans keep the engine nice and cool.
