LOL good one. but true!! most "cold air" intakes just eliminate the box and suck hot air from the engine compartment. truthfully the stock intake is usually the best you'll get. however if you look at the plumbing it goes through the inner fender down to the front bumper and then there is a little cover to keep air from raming up it. so you could rip that off to help but youre not gonna notice a difference in power or mileage.
