Very Pleased with Spectre 9900
I intalled this intake on Sept 28 on my Sierra with a 5.3. What a difference, not as much sound wise but performance wise. I get better fuel economy, better top end. Installation was easy with very good instructions if you need them. Overall very very pleased with purchase. -
2005 Tahoe with spectre performance
I bought this and installed myself in my 2005 Tahoe and there is a def. change in engine sound right off the bat...this is the best bang for your buck highly recommended if you have a small budget

09 Silverado 5.3 V8 COLD AIR INTAKE MUST READ!!!!!
For anyone with an 09 silverado 5.3 V8 thinking about buying a K&N Cold Air Intake DO NOT BUY one for the 09. They changed the air box from 08 to 09 and it will NOT work. I was told that nothing changed from 08 to 09 but in fact they did make changes. I really wanted a K&N cold air intake and didn't want to wait but turns out I should have waited. Okay what's the deal with the fitment problem? Is the throttle body opening a different size from the two different years, or is it due to a clearance issue in the engine compartment? I don't have a NBS Silverado, but I was just curious about what could possibly want to make you give that intake away for less than you payed when it's brand new in the box....
Replacing front strut on 2008 silverado 1500
Struts arent that hard to replace (can be a pain in the arse though) but compressing the spring can be dangerous and difficult. you will need to get a spring compressor (rent one from and auto parts place) and its much easier with an air gun. cant help on the specs. I havent done a coilover on the trucks but way more than I would like on cars. torque specs are in any of the manuals in the relevant chapter.
