So I installed a new air filter and my rpm gauage goes up to 8000 then drops back down to zero when im not riding, but when im riding it does that up to 8000 but then drops to what rpm im really at then back down to 0 rpm please help,,, is this...
It's a diagnostic fault code. If your tach goes to a specific number and then drops back to zero it is indicating a certain fault code
check your service book for exact codes but i'm pretty sure that :-
3000 rpms: throttle position sensor
7000 rpms: EXUP related
