Nice product
I bought this filter about 1 month ago, overall i'm happy with it, i can feel a little increase in throttle response since i installed it in comparison with the OEM Honda filter previously installed in my Civic, i recommend this product to Civic 96-00 owners. -
Can't close housing cover
It's impossible to close the housing cover after install it even though Amazon, Autozone, Oreilly auto all indicate that this model fits 99 Honda civic LX. Too bad that I have to return it.

On your car you'll find a black air filter housing in the engine compartment. The housing is about 8 inches square. On the EX model it will be in the front of the car on the passenger side; other models it may be on the driver's side front.

i have a honda civic 99 ex model everything is stock....i was wondering because im about to install a AEM cold air intake system... i noticed that theres a electrical plug connected to the stock air filter....what am i supposed to do with that...
The plug u talkin will stay there cuz that part is not removed after installing aftermarket intake. I think its MAP(mass air pressure) sensor rather than MAF which controls air fuel ratio.
