Yesterday I took my brand new V Star 950 Tourer in for first service at 600 miles. I supplied my own K&N oil filter (which I purchased from Amazon.com) for the oil/filter change. The service manager said Ok they would use it. In fact, he informed me that they sold the same K&N filters right there... -
Excellent Oil Filter.
These K&N oil filters are high quality filters with the benefit of the nut on the bottom. On some vehicles with limited room around the oil filter, the nut on the bottom is priceless.

Hey guys. So I have a 2003 CBR 600RR with all your typical performance mods. (Power Commander, Stabalizer, K&N Air filter, Steel brake lines, Bigger rear sprocket etc).
The DRZ is basically a dirt bike with street tires. While it may be OK for a commuter, it does not have the power or performance of your CBR 600. Also, forget about passengers.
I'd keep the CBR.

I haven't been so good at maintaining it since I bought it in 2004 and kinda left it in the garage for extended periods of time when I wasn't riding it. I'm trying to get it back to good condition and I've already Its not running hot, that is the operating range of a bike. Don't do anything other than replacing the normal fluids and check your tire pressures. The fan should come on about 210 and keep you from overheating. If it was running at 290, you may have a problem, but it still shouldn't
